Dr. Young-Hwan Jo is the President of REBORN Pharmaceuticals and a Professor of Medicine, Molecular Pharmacology, and Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. A neuroscientist with more than 25 years of experience, he studies how the brain and body communicate bidirectionally to control energy balance, blood glucose, and liver metabolism — research at the foundation of new approaches to obesity and metabolic disease. This work has further led him to investigate whether body–brain communication also plays a critical role in neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Jo earned his PhD in Neuroscience with highest honors from the University of Louis Pasteur in France, and completed postdoctoral training at Columbia University.
